Three Ways to Overcome Your Fears

October 4 - Ruby Fremon

Let’s first identify what your BS is…

It’s all the fears, beliefs, excuses, and other self-imposed blocks that stand between you and what you want. To overcome this BS, you must:

  1. BE COURAGEOUS: Have the courage to take action anyways. No matter how scared you are, or how impossible it feels—harness the courage within you and take ONE actionable step that will challenge you to rise above your BS.

What's your one step? Write it out so you can see it. Keeping ideas in our head just makes us stressed, but writing them out is a concrete step toward achieving the goal.

2. BE PERSISTENT: When things get tough (which they will), you must consciously choose to keep going. Persistence is the fuel you need to get to your end goal—it’s the fuel that will help you get what you want.

Do you think Bill Gates gave up easily? Nope, I don't think he did. Persist, even when you don't feel like you're getting anywhere.

3. BE RESILIENT: Expect to fail and/or mess up, but do NOT expect to quit. Resilience is your bounce-back factor—it’s your ability to get back up no matter what. Choose to be resilient, and refuse to quit.

The most resilient people are the ones who end up seeing success. They aren't necessarily the smartest or most talented people. They just never, ever gave up on their dreams.
